I try to come to the Lakes 3/4 times a year ( not including day trips as I've done today) I usually stay in a lodge but I have a new job from next week and unfortunately don't think I'll always have enough notice to always be able to do this. I obviously still want to come to the beautiful lakes as often as I can (September being my next opportunity) Could anyone please recommend a nice hotel that is dog friendly with perhaps a room that has a little safe terraced area directly from the room in the Windermere area ?

  The Old Vicarage have wheelchair access - two ground floor rooms one has a wheelchair access shower - it's an old building but they have a ramp they can put at the front step - they are right in the centre of the village within easy access to all the shops restaurants and transport network but tucked away within their own grounds that overlook the fells xx the only facilities that are not easily accessed by wheelchair is the pool etc phone number 015394 33364
