  For a hotel with a pool without spending too much, I recommend Ramada Inn (formerly Best Western). It's not 5 star but still nice and affordable. For activities to do (weather depending), there are so many different things to do. You could check out the Rotary Botanical Gardens, or tour the Lincoln-Tallman House Museum (Tours by appointment only. Please contact Keighton Klos 48 hours or 2 business days in advance to make your tour appointment. 608-756-4509 ext. 305.) Camden Playground is always a big hit.
