  I work at computer clinic Plumstead we don't repair water damage on ipads we only replace screens and sockets.

At £80 it was a costly piece of negligence by Aisling, but an awful lot less than £140 charged by Apple. It was ready to be picked up in less than two days and Jim recommended that a cover that supports the edge of the tablet be used from now on.
