Macbook backlight stopped working. Best Mac repair shops in the area? The backlight on my 2017 13" Macbook Pro stopped working a week ago, and MicroCenter/Apple quoted me at $600 for repair. Not gonna do that for a 3-year-old computer. After doing some research, it seems like it should be a simple fix by dealing with some corrosion on the logic board and/or switching out the LCD connector, but the cost of the tools make it not worth doing myself.
In other cases, I would ship it to a trusted repair shop but given the chaotic situation right now I don't want my laptop going through the mail. Does anyone know of any good, trustworthy shops in the greater Philly area that would be able to fix the issue and are currently open for drop-off repairs? Previous posts on this sub gave outdated answers. Thanks!

Went here for a MacBook repair a few weeks ago (during pandemic), remarkably quick and reasonable repairs. Might even go here over the Apple store in the future! [http://www.macsensei.com](http://www.macsensei.com)

I can't search to see if this was posted previously since I only have my phone.

I have used Macmobile, in Drexel Hill (Drexelline Shopping Center) for years. Happy customer. They have been around for over 25 years, and have repeatedly won "Best Mac Service" in the Delaware Valley by Comsumer's Checkbook. Macsensei.com
i had that same problem you need to do data recovery at a Data Recovery Center... the Technician told me it a corrupt boot file and it can not be repaired with out whipping the hole computer and reinstalling OS. I sent my Mac to http://www.macsensei.com/index.html and paid about 120.00 to get all my files off my mac before the Whiped it and put OS X 10.9 on it
