  Depending how far you are willing to go, Doggone Country in Dalmeny about an hour from here is excellent. The visiting dogs are treated like family and have a fenced 25 acre property. http://www.doggonecountry.ca/

  Hi LWL! We adopted a 1.5 year old rescued Maltese in August 2015, and I am looking for the best place to board her, or have someone come in and care for her. She is our 7 lb bundle of love, very affectionate and loves to be with people and cuddle - I can't really picture her at a kennel....maybe I am totally wrong but the image I have of dog boarding kennels is a bunch of dogs barking non-stop and doing their business "indoors" -- habits I really don't want our dog picking up on. Can anyone help recommend a place where she would be with people, or a service where someone comes in for a good part of the day or stays with the dog? Thank you.

  Dog gone country. We've been taking our dog their for a couple of years. Dogs get lots of attention, exercise and play in a home environment. No paying for extras. Dogs are not crated. http://www.doggonecountry.ca
