  Looking for a skilled cataract surgeon. My mom has insurance, but with a $5000 deductible. It’s less out of pocket to just pay for the procedures without going through her insurance. They informed her she is REQUIRED to bill the insurance? How is that required, if it is more cost effective to pay cash? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  You will hear good and bad about every doctor. If you have a doctor you trust use them. There are plenty out there if you don't. Personally I use AIO (Associates in Opthamology). Their main office is in West Mifflin. Great doctors! 412 653-3080 if you're interested. Been going there since 2001 and very satisfied.

  Amy - I just took Jake last week to get a piece of metal out of his eye. Associates In Ophthalmology in West Mifflin. It's near Kohls by Century III Mall.
