Do not take your precious pets here.
The predatory nature of this hospital is blatant and apparent in the way that they "treat" your pets. I waited for hours prior to my animal being seen, and watched several pets come in and OUT before mine was examined. All staff referred to my animal as a "he" despite the paperwork stating "female" and the "vet" examining her. She continued referring to her as "he". You cant even get my animals gender correct.
After hours of waiting for my pet to be "examined," the "vet" reported to me with certainty that my animal would ultimately require surgery for ingesting a foreign object and she HIGHLY recommended that she be hospitalized. These statements do not reconcile with me waiting for hours for her to be assessed. If you believe it is so critical she stay the night for "constant monitoring" (my animal was not even fed, for over 12 hours) then why wait over 3 hours to see her?
The receptionists are incompetent (one woman telling me I had a remaining balance, when I was OWED money. She also had the air of knowing better, despite another woman telling her that I was to be REFUNDED. Another woman walking away from me when I told her to direct the conversation at me and not the person I was with concerning the bill, despite me informing her that I was the person paying. That statement was too much for her to handle?)
The "vet" who determined that my animal had ingested a foreign object, was 100% wrong. But she did not hesitate to convey a sense of fear and urgency to me that would lead me to leave my precious pet overnight.
My pet received a clean bill of health the next afternoon (I came in the evening) and despite this determination, the vet that works during the day, gave her MORE medication (antibiotics, anti-anxiety, appetite stimulants) even after I explicitly gave instruction to CONSULT with me PRIOR to administering any additional medications.
As soon as I received my pet's ultrasound results stating there was no foreign object lodged in her stomach, I raced over to take her out of this hellhole. When they brought her out to me, they hit the carrier and her in it on the tables in the "lobby" area. Nice touch.
To conclude, people here are rude, incompetent, and proceed to make serious decisions regarding your pet's health and safety on their unfounded beliefs. The overnight doctor is younger than I am. That didnt stop her from trying to "mom" me. Be polite yourself, "vet."
There are other ER's that allow you to stay with your pet, never separating you, that will give you kindness and complete disclosure and transparency as to the procedures and plan moving forward with your animal. Go there instead.
My pet was so frightened and came to me dirty, disheveled and disoriented. She is still not herself after being home for almost 24 hours.
Please spare your pet and yourself the anguish that is being a client and patient here and find people who genuinely care about an animal's wellbeing.
Does anybody know a good animal Vet in the Thornton North area? My dog is really sick=( he's not eating and he can't control his pee.

The phone number for my favorite specialty/emergency place, in Denver, is (303) 874-7387, that's the Central Vet Emergency Cervices/Veterinary Referral Center on Santa Fe and Hampden. If a regular day hospital suggests he be transferred to emergency for supervision but they think he's stable enough that you can drive down to Denver, then that's my powerfully highest recommendation for both consistency of care and affordability. I can call my old work and see if they have more referrals to in-home visit vets than they used to, there might be a few of those still floating around. Hit me up if things have changed and you're not sure what to do, if you need to ask anything about his symptoms ... based on what you wrote so far it's a critical emergency, but if things changed and you're not sure let me know and I can help you. (303) 974-0949. Hope everything's okay, buddy.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a vet in the Broomfield, Lafayette, Westminster area?
