Do any of your vets do it cheaper for low income families? my stepson and wife, both special needs/ disability have a male cat and 2 females, I just hope they can get them fixed if its not too late already, not sure how old they are, but I think around 6 mos.

  There are two options: 1) Crawford County now has its own county Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP). Vouchers are available toward the cost of the surgery $20 for cats $35 for dogs. River Valley Humane Society volunteers coordinate the program and send vouchers to pet owners. Go to our Facebook page for more info: River Valley Humane Society. There is also a small poster there that can be printed out which includes affordable spay neuter prices. With a voucher female cats start at $25 and male cats $15. 2) SNSI, a volunteer org., offers spays neuters for $20 for those who meet income guidelines. You can visit their website at www.getthemspayed.org or call (317) 767-7771. Regarding your stepson's situation the quickest way would be to get two vouchers. Their final cost would be $50 for both cats including rabies shots. You should be able to get them spayed within a week. If that will work for you please call 812-969-2615 and we will send the vouchers. If this won't work then please call my cell 502-396-0660 as soon as possible which will be the quickest way to work out a plan. We will definitely find an affordable option that works for them.   I've felt badly for the stray cats, so I've been leaving food outside for them. This morning a black cat we've named Shadow has a piece of plastic tied around her neck. She won't let me anywhere near her to get it cut off. I know some people came forward before that were good cat catchers. Are they still around and looking for a job? Also, if there's someone in this neighborhood purposely torturing animals, could you please stop? This definitely appears to be there by human hands, and not the first one who seems to have suspicious injuries. Thank you!
