  Parks & Rec has a trail head west of Walhalla where you can park, but it's not grass, so don't know if you'd want to tie horses to trailer or maybe set up portable corral on other side of parking lot. You might want to check with them first. I'm including a phone number where you can contact them for more information. This is a great time to ride the hills up here as the colors are absolutely beautiful right now!!701-549-2444 is the office number and ask for either Mike or Travis.
