  My car battery was malfunctioning about a month ago. I went to Midtown automotive and got a quote of around $340 to change it due to it being non repairable as well as an air filter change. I thought the fee was a bit high and decided to check to see if the battery was still under warranty prior to changing it out. The battery was not under warranty but after checking into the issue myself I found that the battery was still in good working order and the fix was simple. I went to Autozone and spent a total of $15 for a battery post cover and a new filter. I haven't had any battery issues since.
