About us
The philosophy of the Inner World School is based on the harmonious union between Mind and Heart. Amongst other ‘things’ Mind evaluates what we learn. Heart feels joy for our ability to learn. In simple words: AT THE INNER WORLD SCHOOL WE LOVE LEARNING! Education is the continuous process of wonder and growth. Love fills it with joy and makes it worthwhile.
We are working towards establishing a community based school – a union of the children, the school, the families of the children and the community. Workshops will be offered for other family members and support for parents who are very important people and role models in their children’s lives.
We envision a school that values all learning equally – academics, practical, emotional, spiritual, lifeskills, etc. The world needs teachers and professors, writers, plumbers, carpenters and other trades people, artists, chefs, farmers, etc. They are all valuable and important to society. At the Inner World School we encourage children to be who they are and at the same time inspire them to reach further into their own capacity and potentiality of mind and heart. Children are happy and enthusiastic when studying what they are passionate about. This is the basis and inspiration for all their learning. Our course of study will be decided by the students, their families and facilitators together and will be reviewed regularly to ensure vitality, continuous learning and happiness. The uniqueness of each individual and each group will guide us in structuring the programs and keeping them fluid at the same time.
