  very long ago i had my mid 90's circa Pentax PZ-1 p serviced by California Precision Service. http://www.camrepair.com/ they did a wonderful job of replacing the light box/mirror.

It shoots one shot in focus and 3 out of focus, and sometimes it will focus on one person and another one way in the back but not the person standing right next to them(( It's awful!
