At the end of June I had texted the wife- (who has the intellect level of a 1st grader. No lie, the texts were BARELY decipherable), notifying her our lease was up June 1st &that I needed my trailer moved as soon as possible. She says we're scheduled to be moved Friday July 7th. THEN, thursday July 6th THE DAY BEFORE "THE MOVE" she tells us that "she called ALL day& could not get a police escort to move the trailer &that the police told her they were "short handed". She also said that THEY won't let them pull if there is a 30% chance of rain &that they don't do police escorts on Sat. which was all lies. I called the DOT and the PD and spoke to a very nice officer who informed me they were NOT short handed, they could still move us that Fri if Achord's was able. He also informed me that ANY time an escort is requested, they log &record the name of the business. The officer looked through the call log &Achord's NEVER called to get an escort. That was a LIE.They also tell me that a 30% rain chance is no problem. So that was another lie. So I keep my composure &txt her back (not revealing that i know she lied to me) b/c at this point I was desperate to have my home moved. I tell her I have an escort &they can still do Fri. She then tells me she cant they had started moving a double wide Fri instead. So I ask about Sat. She said they would still be working on that on Sat. I told her the next week was going to storm that it needed to be moved ASAP. She told me they had another guy that could probably do it & was gonna have him call me. That never happened. That weekend went by, I texted her that Monday morning. The weather was sunny, we had no rain over the weekend, so I asked her if we were scheduled to be moved that day. If we were "scheduled" to be moved the previous Friday, logic would have you assume that we would be the next job they do.She didn't respond for a few hours &finally said "when she knows when it can be moved she will let me know" So I ask her, we should be the next ones then right? She then told me "she would appreciate not being questioned about her job and that if I think i could find someone faster, she'll return our deposit." As bad as I wanted to call her out for being a LYING bitch, I again kept my cool, and played along.She texted on July 13th saying they were going to move us that next Mon. She asked me if I can make sure they will have an escort for them..like um. sorry but isn't that YOUR job?? Then out of the blue, that Sat she texted me asking what my mailing address was so she could send our deposit back. ??Instead of getting into I said,these people are sketchy as hell, this is probably for the best. So I give her my mailing address. A week goes by, still hadn't gotten my deposit back. So I text her inquiring. She says she sent it last week. So i say it shouldn't be taking that long but will give it a few more days, she says "i'm on vacation so if it got sent back she will see when she gets back" Wouldn't you know, 4 days later I get a text that it got sent back to her..&she will resend. So I tell her to send me a picture of it, that I want to see what address she supposedly put. & wouldn't you know, her Hubby got the mail that day & opened it, AND threw the envelope away, AND took the trash out all by 6pm that Wed?! HAHA I digress. Then after ANOTHER WEEK she txt me saying the check was "sent back again" asking do I ever come to Baton Rouge. This imbecile.. So I tell her absolutely not, I tell her she will need to send it via paypal or wire transfer &that this was ridiculous that I would go to the Better Business Bureau. She tells me"the better business bureau will not hurt me" These are the worst, incompetent, untrustworthy, low life, white trash people I have ever dealt with. I will be making a complaint to the BBB.
