I have two massive oak trees in front of my house between the sidewalk and the road. I really love these trees, they're a big part of the reason I bought my house. However, they've started dropping widow-makers and they keep my house in shade all year, which is not ideal for my roof, and there are some very large branches that extend over my house. They've also wrecked my underground plumbing. I called the city and they tell me that they're 100% my responsibility. I'm not confident that they can be trimmed of the less healthy portions, but I really really don't want to take them down. Anyone know a tree guy or girl who knows more than just how to take them down? Or how much such things cost?
