About us
Hello my name is Megan Gough, owner-operator of Pinned Up Ltd. As you may already know, Pinned Up is an on-site hair and makeup company that strives to create your desired look in the convenience of your own space.
I started Pinned Up Ltd because this is what I love to do. I didn't always know that until one day I decided that I didn't want a nursing career and made the jump to start cosmetology school. As a student, I loved creating different hairstyles, especially for formal events. I wanted every style to be artistic, different, and to stand out from the rest.
Once I graduated, I started working in a salon full time. Everyone I worked with quickly found out that I had a passion for updos. Every homecoming, prom, and wedding I looked forward to. I describe those occasions as "game day" because I get that same feeling I had playing sports through high school and college. That might be a funny way to describe it, but I ALWAYS looked forward to game day. All the prepping and it is finally here!
When it came time to get married myself, I had so much fun getting ready at the venue with my closest friends and family. As the morning progressed and everyone was finishing up their hair and makeup, I almost didn't want it to be over! But of course I couldn't wait to FINALLY wear my dress and walk down the aisle to see my future husband. It was the best day of my life.
After the wedding I realized I wanted to be in the wedding business. I fell in love with everything about it. About 1 year later I decided it would be so much fun to give brides the same scenario I had getting ready for my wedding day. I immediately knew this was what I wanted to do with my career. It was another jump I had to take. It wasn't going to be easy, but I finally did it, I jumped!
Today, I am so thankful to have a job that I LOVE to do. Every part is fun for me, traveling to the bride, sharing those moments before, helping her and her bridesmaids feel beautiful. To everyone who has allowed me to be a part of their wedding day I want to thank you. My friends and family have been the best support and I would not be here without them and I want to thank you too (you know who you are:)).
