  I recently moved back to the area, and I’m in need of finding a new general practitioner. I’m inquiring here, in hopes of some good references, of a doctor you’ve been with for a while, and really feel all your needs are met. I do like my present doctor, WHEN I finally see him. Trying to get through to the office, takes several days some times, prescriptions repeatedly screwed up, pre-op paperwork on more than one occasion, lost in the shuffle, etc., and that’s been going on for several years. SO, rather than keep dealing with that, and a 45 minute ride, it would now be; I’d rather find someone new, in the area that comes highly recommended, in all areas I’d have to deal with. Atlantic Highlands, Middletown, Hazlet, Holmdel, or Red Bank would be great. Thank you in advance

  I have a doctor friend. Although he is very good and I trust him, he’s not included on my insurance company’s list of Primary Care Physicians. When I call his office, I’m told they don’t deal with my insurance company (Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield) either. So I’ve asked friends for suggestions. Every doctor anyone suggests is not on my policy’s list of Primary Care Physicians. I haven’t had a general check up in a decade. I could go to my Doc and pay out of pocket for everything including the blood work, etc. (expensive), but then I ask, why am I paying Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield almost one thousand dollars a month?

  Dr. Marianne Roosels, MD 27 Pinckney Rd Red Bank, NJ 07701 732-747-4600 I have had her for over 20 years as my PCP and she is great. Very detailed, knowledgable and experienced. They even have an in - house lab for blood work and other tests.
