  Does anybody know of any yale type deadlocks that can be fitted to HMO bedrooms that don't automatically lock? Eg actually need a key turn to activate? Builder has - despite the jobsheet being very clear in requesting euro thumb turn locks - fitted yale type locks to all licensable HMO bedroom doors. Alternative now is to fit new cylinder locks in a new place and fill the old holes - I can't even re-use the old holes and they have been cut for a cylinder, and will void the integrity of the fire door (I could use intumescent mastic, but if there is a fire it will expand and then possibly jam the door lock - not a clever solution.
