Born and raised in Kitchener, Marianne has been a part of the Culinary world for over 20 years now. Her love of food began at the tender age of 4 when her mother purchased her an Easy Bake Oven and the rest is history! Marianne followed her dreams and attended George Brown College where she graduated with honours in 2000 and obtained 3 Government licenses in Culinary, Baking and Pastry Arts. She continued upgrading her skills with a Saucier course, various lectures, workshops and a Masters Cake Decorating course from McCalls in Toronto. At that same time, Marianne competed in many cooking and bakery showcases where she placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd for her original and unique culinary creations. While working in Toronto, Marianne catered to International Dignitaries, Celebrities, Musicians, Athletes and even the Queen of England during her royal visit in 1997. Today Marianne has left the hectic culinary world behind to be her own boss and launch her own company Sweet Mary's, which focuses on creating new flavours based on her creative classics. Her attention to detail and customer satisfaction while maintaining dietary restrictions (i.e. vegan, diabetic, gluten, nut free and religious factors etc.) sets Marianne apart from the rest. She strives for excellence and her "from scratch" edible masterpieces will never compromise itself. Marianne is dedicated to providing cakes, cookies, cupcakes and culinary fare only from the finest and freshest of ingredients.
