Someone once told me to remember to stop and take mental photographs of your life because it passes so incredibly quickly. I shrugged it off as one of those things people say, but soon came to know just how important those words would be to me.
After my wedding, I realized that I did not have any recollection of what our ceremony or reception looked like until I saw pictures afterwards. I was so focused on my now husband and the excitement of marrying my perfect someone that the entire night passed me by in a heartbeat. Thank goodness for our photographer, who gave me those precious moments back.
As a lifestyle photographer I'm more of an observer. Your session will consist of a few "smile for the camera" photos but mostly I try to blend into the background and capture those intimate moments between parent and child, a peaceful newborn or a couple so in love they forget that I am even there. Often times the very best pictures are those where no one is looking at the camera.
It is incredibly humbling that you are considering me to be the one to capture those fleeting moments of your life.
