About us
At PPTC we like to recognize our families by hosting at least one client appreciation event a year. Events have included picnics and rides at City Park, private pool parties, Halloween parties, and a carnival. And of course, adding your children’s handprints to our tree murals provides a lasting memory for the children and staff.

Specific disorders and delays treated at Pueblo Pediatric Therapy Center include, but are not limited to: autism, cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, sensory processing deficits, motor deficits, prematurity and other newborn developmental issues, prenatal drug exposure, behavioral disorders related to sensory and motor deficits, handwriting deficits, self-care difficulties, feeding/eating difficulties and leisure and social deficits.
Parent participation is highly encouraged and we provide parent education as a part of our therapy. Our facility allows parents and sometimes siblings to participate in therapy and to interact with other families. Parents are provided with yearly comprehensive evaluations which help us plan future therapy and allow parents to track their child’s progress.

My719Moms.com asked:All Call for Jessie; I need some recommendations. I have a son on the Autism scale, more on the side of Asperger’s. I had him in therapy a couple of years ago for coping mechanisms and dealing with anger and things, but had stopped because the therapist at the time said she had gone as far with him as she could at his maturity. Now, a little bit later and a lot of maturity later, I can't get a hold of the same therapist, and I'm looking for someone who is familiar with Asperger's and can help him with some coping for anger and also with social skills. Anybody here in the Springs have someone they like? Thanks so much!
Katie R. replied:In Pueblo, there is a wonderful physical/occupational therapist that only specializes in helping kids with autism/Asperger's. She helps them with the physical issues like lack of coordination, bathing issues, dislike of touch, etc. She really helped my son - not just physically but emotionally by extension - and he's doing so much better now than he was. He was having so many anger issues that I was thinking of having him institutionalized, but she helped him turn around. Of course, he also had counseling, so both things worked together. Her name is Kathy and she's at Pueblo Pediatric Therapy. (719) 253-7727.
