  Happy Friday, neighbors! Newbie here, and my momma is coming for a visit. If I had it my way, we'd spend the days and nights knee-deep in po-boys and cocktails, but that's not (exactly) how she rolls. Any recs for tours that offer a nice historical context of the city? Cemetery/garden district etc. Also, has anyone done a riverboat cruise that can offer insight to how good or bad this may be? Thanks, all!

  You can always come to the Southern Food and Beverage Museum! $10 for adults, $5 for students, seniors (60 and up), and military (past and present). Check our website to see if we have special demos going on during the visit (southernfood.org). Best days to go are Th, F, and Sat as the restaurant is open as well and you can roam around with a cocktail from the oldest bar in the city (from Bruning's restaurant). We also have the Museum of the American Cocktail and the Absinthe Exhibit (largest collection in the country). Not like I work there or anything......:)
