  Here's another stroll down memory lane: who is old enough to remember The Village Inn. Do you remember when they had a small package goods store and added on the store and made a soda fountain and toy store. Gert and Frank were relatives of ours and my father would order our Christmas dolls and toys from them. It was a good place to walk to to get a coloring book or dot to dot book on a Saturday afternoon They sold Madame Alexander and Ginny dolls and bikes too. After a few years, they realized that there was more money in selling package goods, beer, wine, etc. so the toy store / soda fountain was history.
