  Hey, Court, or anyone else who knows... Who do we call to ask that the 41 bridge be swept/cleaned more frequently? Northbound was so bad today that we had to go out into the traffic lane to avoid glass. If we call and continue to call, and continue to call, and continue to call, we might get it cleaned more often.

  

  Court N. replied:

  US 41 and the bridges are State of Florida. State contracts with City of Punta Gorda to sweep bridge once a month, first thursday. State has said that bicycle riders should expect to get a few flats when crossing the bridge and will not increase funding. Punta gorda and the County will tell you it is a State problem not theirs. State FDOT secretary for District 1, that's us, is Billie Hattaway.
