I had a great stylist by work (Manhattan) but she moved out of state. I'd be looking either Middle Village/Glendale and surrounding areas, or even midtown Manhattan or Greenpoint/Williamsburg.   I just loved to Glendale and decided to go short also! Someone recommended Shaima at 73-03 88 th Street, 718-896-6740. Have gone to her twice (and going back today at 4;30) and she has my color perfect!!! Said she mixed three colors to get it and it's absolutely perfect--I am 18 again. She is the only person there and her salon is so pretty.
