Thankyou for visiting my page.
I've had an interest in photography since a young age when I returned home from a school trip with 5 rolls of 35mm film to be developed. Not cheap I can tell you! I studied A level photography as part of an Art Foundation course back in the pre-digital days before moving into the employment sector!
After college I disappeared abroad working as a holiday rep in Greece, Spain & Malta and armed with a small 35mm compact had a vast portfolio of travel photos that were used in our welcome books and boards in resort.
Returning to the UK for a 'proper' job working for HP I was introduced to the digital camera and was lucky enough to have the use of various digital compacts.
It was only after 'retiring' from the rat race & having the 5 Little Boys that my photography got serious. I embarked on a 365 project (1 photo a day for a whole year) but as I don't do things by half I didn't just do a project for myself but also 5 more, one for each of the boys. Not only has this served as a great keepsake for each of them but it saw my photography improve dramatically.
The idea was to build up a portfolio so that when the youngest starts school I'd start marketing however word has spread and it looks like things are happening 12 months early which is very exciting.
My photographic style is to get as natural shots as possible without the subject realising which I consider are the best ones. This is probably because I don't like having my own photo taken and know how awkward it can be. There are some occasions that require a more formal approach and in this instance I make things fun and different so as to get the natural feel once again.
I like to think that my pricing is within budget for most people as I feel everybody should be able to consider a photographer for any occasion. We can all create beautiful memories and they deserve beautiful photographs....... a good photo stops a memory running away!
