  Perhaps see if there is a local pottery cafe, such as http://www.pennikkitypots.co.uk in Ipswich. They might be able to accommodate a group visit and would have mugs and plates, etc to paint plus ceramic paint and materials and kiln. Otherwise see if there is a local potter who would be willing to be an expert for the evening. - if supervised & observed then they would not need a dbs with Scouting. It could be good fun, as I have done it with my family, but you need facilities. Another alternative would be glass painting though. I hope that this helps. Yis, Tony
