  Hello folks anyone here had their car serviced recently? Looking for a local garage to change a timing belt on a Passat. Geoff Ellard motors on Haydons Road reckons £500.

  £500 seems a bit steep. When my timing belt went and knackered the engine the garage on quicks road (Sovereign Motors 0208 543 6718) replaced the timing belt AND rebuilt the engine for not much more than that. They have now moved from quicks road to the industrial estate by abbey mills I think.
