Through a trust your assets don't have to go through probate. You assign a trustee and all your assets are given to them via the trust upon your death. It (like a will) distributes them according to your wishes. Living trusts cost more but also include power of attorney documents, living wills, and health care power of attorney, etc. Something to think about :). Thank youShannon B. replied:www.zimmerlawfirm.comShannon B. replied:We did a "living trust" with Zimmer Law Firm ~ the trust provides for power of attorney, living wills, doesn't have your assets go through probate, sets up custody of minor children, money (how it's allocated by a trustee of your choosing) etc. Living Trust is much better than a will IMO.
