  Recommendation for tax accountant I'm owner of a sole proprietor company. Can someone recommend a tax accountant office in the region that also offers tax advice? The two I had in the past were always just: Send us your bills, we'll sort them into the categories for CRA, we'll then submit the tax return, and we'll charge you for our services. I'm looking for someone who can provide advice on how to reduce the tax load (e.g., creation of a health plan, income splitting by hiring partner, establish company car instead of mileage, etc). There might be many other things that are possible, but I don't know about them. I want the tax accountant to give me a list of things to see whether I can utilize them. Also I would like the tax accountant to suggest activities that can be paid by the company such as several company parties per year, etc. This is not about avoiding taxes, this is about getting proper tax advice beyond just filling in forms and submitting them.
