I just wanted to ask your fellow Cheezers for some advice. Saw a beautiful house (4 years old) for sale. The seller is asking for 285,000. He pretty much said he wanted to stay as close to that number as he could, but would be willing to negotiate a "reasonable offer". Before I even talk to my realtor, I just wanted to know if anybody could suggest a reasonable offer for a house that price. It is a beautiful home, pretty much perfect. Appears to be in great shape. Great neighborhood. We looked at the appraisal worth online for a general idea of the value of the house, it said it was appraised at 210,000. I know that appraisal may not be current, but I am pretty sure it is close to that number. Any realtors or anybody who knows real estate have any opinions on the topic? We don't want to make an offer too high or too low as the seller may not take us seriously. Thanks.
