I began pet sitting professionally years ago, starting with horses. I loved the whole experience of being at the farm - turning out/bringing in the horses, feeding them, mucking out their stalls. It was great to stay on the premises - I felt l could get to know the animals much more intimately that way. When I began working at Triangle Veterinary Hospital (where I was employed for seven years), I added dog, cat, rat, fish, mouse, and the odd exotic, to my "sitting" repetoire. While I still had a horse, I filled in as kennel person for Red Mountain Foxhounds - taking care of as many as 60 hounds at once - when the huntsman was away. Some of the happiest moments of my life were those times when I walked into the kennels and was surrounded by a pack of beautiful hounds - all of whom I knew by name - It was like having 60 adoring fans/friends surrounding me. Sadly, my horse passed away in 2008, I'm no longer married, and am unable to stay away from the animals who own - I mean - live with - me, overnight. A few years ago I left Triangle Vet and I now enjoy pet-sitting/dogwalking on a full-time basis. I believe my experience with horses and hounds, at the vet hospital, and with the many wonderful animals I've been fortunate to have in my own family, make me uniquely well-qualified to love and care for those of my clients. This is a bit unusual - but I need some suggestions. Things have changed at 4708 Wildwood St. and I am now looking for a doggie hotel for my boxer from June 21st through the 8th. My plan one is no longer available.
Thanks!
