Good Home Inspector? We are looking at buying a house in the near future. Does anyone have a good experience with a home inspector. Someone who is thorough and does a report? What was the cost?
Thanks

We used www.thefullstorey.com for our last home purchase. Mark was fantastic. He was very thorough, explained things to us along the way and put together a comprehensive report in PDF. It's been a while so I can't recall what he charged, but I certainly had no issue with the price at the time.
I wasn't able to find a lady inspector, so I went with Mark Hodgson about a month ago (http://www.thefullstorey.com), who was recommended by my lady realtor:). Mark was amazing!!!
Who`s the best home inspector in Ottawa? We just conditionally bought a Victorian house in downtown Ottawa. House was built in the 1890`s so we want a solid home inspection for something so old. Anybody know a good engineer/inspector?

We've used Mark from [The Full Storey](http://www.thefullstorey.com/) for 3 houses. He turned us off 2 of them for foundation issues and took the time to explain to use why so that we could make the decision ourselves. Both of the houses were quite old so I would definitely recommend him.
Looking for a Good Home Inspector Hi All -- about to buy a house (in Kanata) conditionally, pending building inspection. Anyone know a good, non-partisan building inspector? I'm hesitant to use an inspector recommended by the realtor, due to conflict of interest.
Other suggestions welcome as well! \^^
Cheers.
edit -- Thanks everyone for your suggestions. :)

I used [The Full Storey](http://www.thefullstorey.com/) for three different house inspections. We were looking for a rental property and they're REALLY difficult to find a good one. He was really thorough and got us out of several bad buys. When our realtor tried to convince us to buy anyways, he told us he wouldn't even charge us for the trouble of the inspection. Great guy... and helped convince us that we needed to change realtors.
