Have two questions regarding maintenance on my Yamaha F-370. Got this in 2009. There are two problems I've been having for quite some time now and finally decided to ask here and are shown in the 2 attached photos.
First one is the buzzing in the four higher strings three or four frets below the 12 the fret. It can be seen in the photo that a fret is slightly coming out of the neck and I'm sure there's another one too around. What happens is that it hits the string when the fret lower than it is played causing buzzing. There was once a time when a fret would play the note of one higher a fret, this keeps coming and going due to temperature and humidity changes.
I took it to VSel Music and what they did was to rectify this issue was carve out the wood on the tailpiece and slide the saddle down a little as visible in the photo. This helped temporarily but the buzzing returned. So it has to be the fret coming out of the neck causing this.
The second problem is that the saddle itself has cracked over the years and I would like to know if I can get a replacement saddle and if so where can I get one from?
Any suggestions to help the two issues will be much appreciated.
Edit: I am from Karachi. Suggestions based on guitar repair shops in Karachi will be much appreciated. Thanks.
