About us
A little about my hairdressing career:
Hi, I have worked as a professional hairdresser since 1992, my career has been an extensive one, I started in Oxford, with David Popham, and trained under Amanda Jebbett who had been director of education at the famous Mahogany salons. Here I went on to gain my hair qualifications.
I then went on to manage a few very successful salons, one being the present Ekko of Banbury learning new skills as time went by.
I then returned back to Oxford, here I worked largely with Lanza, and did alot of stage work including doing "miss englands" hair and was filmed by the channel 4 documentary programme cutting edge.
Here we also had a fairly modest famous clientele base, and thus I learned to wear different hats for different heads!
In 2005 I had my first child Freddie who is now 6 and married my wonderful hubby.
During this period of time I decided to become self employed and work my own column for myself, I also worked at The Cutting Edge, at this time, and was asked by Kirsty to join her at wakestock festival along with the very famous tigi creative team, we were asked to join the famous heath grout and his crew to help style the rich and famous' hair, inc friendly fires, hadouken, pendulum, arctic monkeys, groove armada, etc etc.
2011 was a new era for us after going through some tough times. Alas with all things there is always light at the end of the tunnel, I was asked by Lanza, to become their colour educator for the midlands, I of course jumped at the chance of travelling around some fabulous salons teaching them the why's and where fors of colour.
This keeps my ideas fresh and on the ball and I absolutely love to teach- Happy days!
In December 2013, I opened the salon on Horton View, I wanted to create a professional, fun and yet relaxed salon where people can get a great haircut without feeling judged or uncomfortable, I believe we bring something different to Banbury, why not come and check us out. :)
This is a new era for most of us... show more
