  Looking for advice: My daughter was employed by a local restaurant that recently changed ownership. The previous owner nor the current owner have paid her the last check she was due before the restaurant changed hands. Several other employees have also not been paid. As a college student, she doesn’t have the money to contact an attorney. Can anyone advise what actions (legal or otherwise) she could take to collect the couple of hundred dollars she is owed? She had contacted both parties regarding her check and they either don’t respond to her or advise her that the other owner should pay. I don’t think this establishment should be able to get by without paying their employees simply because they are teenagers! It’s been a month now that she has gone without payment. Any suggestions?????
