In the fall of 2005 I received a phone call; a call that was a dream of a lifetime.
My farm veterinarian, to whom I had been taking my animals to for a few years, offered me a job as a veterinarian assistant. My passion for animals had shown itself with my many visits to her office. She took a chance on me, and offered me the job. Having no training, or schooling, she trusted her heart. I took it and ran with it. I watched and learned from her. I took everything in and became even more passionate in my love of animals. Seven years later she retired; my heart was empty -- something was missing. I had always wanted to have my own grooming and boarding kennel, and the timing was right. So, 1 year later, here I am opening my own grooming and boarding facility -- “The K-9 Cabin.” I hope my passion shines through with every pet that comes through my door.
