Does anyone know someone that works for the Attorney General office
Denise V. replied:
I used to work for Legal Aid. In Austin, I would help run the evening clinics sometimes. The clinics were a way for the general public to get free consultation from a lawyer on legal matters, particularly family law. This might be a way for you to get some guidance from an attorney for free. I don't know how San Antonio screens for services, but it's worth a shot. I know that TRLA's funding is such that cases are limited to those with domestic violence/child abuse issues, but you might be able to receive free advice or a referral to an attorney. It's worth a call. TRLA Divorce and Family law clinic info: CLINIC APPLICATION PROCESS All clients must meet income eligibility requirements, and must be prequalified for assistance.
