  Good afternoon, CARA Wheaton runners. I need some help. Obviously training started last week, but unfortunately with my dumb luck I have a pinched sciatic nerve wreaking havoc with my running. Last Saturday’s six miles has created more pain and I’m at a loss what to do right now to correct the issue. I want to avoid surgical or drug options, so can anyone recommend chiropractic care that’s reputable, or another option, perhaps Novacare? Please let me know. I’m willing to take a few weeks to recover, but I don’t want to lose too much training time. Thanks in advance.

  Mark Wesley is a chiropractor in Glen Ellyn who treats a lot of runners and can be reached at 630-790-3335. Shawn Allen in Westmont at 630-522-4060 is also excellent for injured runners.
