  Hi Olga, there are a few German Shepherd breed specific groups in the Dallas area and other rescues who take in mixed breeds. readlarrypowell.com has a list of rescues and you can also try using sites like adopt-a-pet, petfinder, etc to find more local rescue groups. If your friend can foster until the dog is adopted, that'll increase the odds of a rescue taking the dog in. -Rekka
