About us
For too long women and children trapped in abusive households in the Greater Stellenbosch Municipal District had to face the violent reality of having nowhere to run after suffering physical and emotional abuse, rape and other traumas related to domestic violence. The Safe House fulfils this longstanding need of the community as the cries of these most vulnerable women have not fallen on deaf ears.
The house serves as a sanctuary for abused women and their children who unexpectedly found themselves destitute as a result of the domestic violence. We offer shelter, protection, food, clothing, toiletries and support to these vulnerable women. We assist them to come to terms with past trauma thus helping them to develop into successful, mature individuals.
