  Really not sure what would be considered cheap... But, O2 Center have a room upstairs (they use it for Art Gallery type events) which you can hire by the hour - I think £18 an hour but I am sure you can negotiate a much better rate if you hire it for the day and if your event is of a recurring nature. Also, hampstead community centre - (by the post office) have a room upstairs - I am not sure how much that is but I was told it does not get any better in NW3.
