  hi Susan, my boyfriend owns Wiring Wizards: a whole house audio/visual installation company and he installs residential security cameras all the time. There is no monthly monitoring fee. He simply installs hi-def cameras with night vision that you can monitor yourself and will have access to the cameras through an app on your smart phone or the computer. They record whenever there is movement so you could always go back and see what the camera picked up during the day. He does consultations for no charge and could come out anytime this week.
