  My poor dog requires surgery to have her eye removed. I received a quote from an awesome Winnipeg vet however it was for $2000. Does anyone have a recommendation for a less expensive potentially rural Vetrinary surgeon? She needs the surgery soon and I can't afford $2000. Thanks everyone in advance for your help.

  1-204-346-1429, Clearspring Vets just outside of Steinbach. Most excellent people work there and prices are far better than locally, I have used them in a similar situation as this and was very happy with the price difference which was much less despite the fuel expense. Even my kittens first vaccinations price are half of city vets. Good luck!!

  Veterinarian question: my mobile vet retired. I love my old dogs but don't run to the vet for everything. My dog Brian is very old and on the decline in several ways. He eats, sleeps and poops normally. He doesn't whimper or complain. I don't want to go to a vet that will emotionally blackmail me into treating every one of his normal aging issues but he might need some work/Meds. Any recommendations for the cheapest vet around. I have a car and will take him anywhere, even a country vet.
