  I'm looking for an AFFORDABLE math tutor in the area. I know that Chyten on Valley Rd is a phenomenal tutor, yet they're extremely overpriced ($105/hr & they recommend 10 hrs/month). I used them last year & my daughter experienced amazing results. However, this school year TWO of my kids need math tutoring. This means my monthly tutoring bill would be higher than my rent!!!! Unfortunately, many ppl make the assumption that everyone in this town is wealthy & that's totally untrue. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced & effective Math tutor?

  Granted, this post is because I'm biased and I used to be one of them. Montclair State has tutors you can hire. Generally, they're kids who got a B+ or better in math. Call (973) 655 4364 and ask them to write up a post on the job board in the tutoring room. You're more likely to get a response if you offer a fixed amount upfront.
