Now go to Henry Kwok of Optimum Services 416-986-8388. I'm at greenwood and Danforth. Love Optimum's service and much more reasonable rates than Aetna. Honestly I don't work for them in anyway but have had long time probs with carpenter ants and I generally hate bugs and I've much better results with Optimum.

Where are you from and how did you get into this business?
From Toronto I originally went to Fleming College for Fish and Wildlife. I love the outdoors and originally wanted to be a conservation officer. Upon entering Fleming I found out that the ministry of Ontario was doing cutbacks and that there were no jobs available in the near future. Fleming College is the school of natural Resources. So while I was there I looked at all the other available programs and settled upon environmental Pest Management. I have being doing Pest Control since the day I graduated in 1996.
Describe a typical work day for you?
Typical work day consists of dropping by to do pest maintenance for my contract customers which consist of restaurants, warehouses, food plants, retail stores, etc. The rest of my day is filled up with insect and rodent control for residential customers. Bird exclusion for both residential and commercial customers, and wildlife removal and exclusion.
From where do you draw your enthusiasm and inspiration for the job?
I love helping people solve their problems and enjoy working with my hands and animals. Everyone on this planet is good at something and there's nothing more satisfying than enhancing people's lives doing something you're good at.
How can a customer ensure that they receive the best possible service from you?
Not always but sometimes the job requires cooperation from the customer. Please take my recommendations and the pest control program will be a success. Pest control is a cooperation between the 2 parties involved. We can only do so much if the other party doesn't do their part.
What has been your most memorable experience on the job?
Working all night with Kevin in an articulating boom until the sun came up installing bird exclusion netting at a large chain Hardware store. By the end of the night/morning we were both so tired and exhausted that we somehow reached a natural high. Absolutely everything we said to each other was hilarious we were laughing uncontrollably as we were packing up for absolutely no reason!?!? That has only happened to me a few times in my life and that was one of the times! I will never forget it! Great coworkers and great attitudes get great results for everyone involved! The job was finished on time and on budget and the customer couldn't have been any happier!
