  Kelly Barrett asks for advice: "May I ask advice? My dog has been diagnosed w/spondylosis deformans and I'm looking for home care tips. She's normal body weight, still enjoys walks, & is currently on carprofen two times a day and a glucosomine supplement. Can anyone recommend additional treatments I can try to keep her comfortable? I'm also deciding between an orthopedic bed or a heated bed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!"

  I recommend laser therapy as well. Mt Carmel Animal Hospital does it and they also have underwater treadmill and other physical therapy tools. Ask for Dr McGee & Kathy. Dr McGee is great with bones and joints and runs their PT program. They are in York Rd in Hereford 410-343-0200. I hope your pup feels better soon.

  Bless you for taking such good care if your dog. Dr fox at Mt Carmel Animal hospital is amazing. They offer a lot of alternative therapies there including swimming and accupuncture. I love him.
