  Okay I need advice. I may be getting a small breed dog for my daughters birthday. However I am a large breed dog lover and have had large dogs my entire life. So can anyone recommend a small (under 10lbs full grown) breed that is good with dogs, cats, kids? We camp, take long bike rides (small dog would go in trailer) we hike, swim, and the dog would maybe be alone about 1/2 hour total a day. Any recommendations please? help. Thanks.
