  I called Tim's Lawn Service on Saturday to schedule a mow and edge, since our lawn mower is broken and the yard has needed attention for weeks already. He said he would be out on Wednesday or Thursday, and asked that I text him Tuesday evening as a reminder (should that have been my first hint?). I *did* text him on Tuesday, and got a reply of simply "Thanks." No one showed up on Wednesday. Mid-way through yesterday (Thursday), I texted him to ask if he could let me know when he or his crew might be coming our way. No reply, now 24 hours later. I'm giving up on Tim's. Anyone have a recommendation for an affordable service that could come mow/weedeat/edge our yard before it absolutely needs a bush-hog?
