My mom and her were friends, keyword "WERE" She started off nice and friendly, but as soon as you sign the contract and she gets the deposit it is like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. She sends you an invoice along the way , and every payment is deducts from the total balance. So we were budgeting for that amount, but 10 days before she throws in the 20% gratuity and a extra $500 for time she knew all along she would have to be there. Then when we called to discuss she just makes excuses and starts to yell at me and proceeds to hang up in my face. Before she hangs up she proceeds to tell me she can void the contract. Just think of how stressful this was 10 days before. So basically she draws people in with low prices then jacks it up along the way. So now day of the event comes and QUEENIE is a NO-SHOW. Did not even inform us. The day she yelled at me and hung up she mentioned she had an event the week prior and they were forced to feed 200 people after the bride and groom said it would only be 120. (Why she telling me that, I have no clue) I told her she will not have to worry about that for us. I text Dwayne, her business manager, and told him we created meal tickets and not too feed anyone without it . (1:38pm I sent that text day of wedding, food isn't served until 8) In the text I also stated we are taking leftovers for all 20+ guess who RSVP and are not showing. Somehow there was no leftovers, not too mention that multiple guest stated they received baby portions. They denied it and said they made enough food for 150 people. Not to mention I paid for guest to have Mac&Cheese but guest were told that it was only for kids. The food tasted nothing like the tasting; green beans were unseasoned, mashed potatoes lumpy and no flavor, rolls cold, mac and cheese was runny. For the cleanup, they were informed, signed contracts , and paid to be there until 12am. They were packing up at 10:30 and informed the venue they will keep someone there for 12am to buss all tables. They left at 10:50 pm and guess who had to clean up the venue or not get there $500 deposit back, the groom, groomsman and my mom. Very upset with service and product. Save yourself the headache and do not use her, preferred caterers are the way to go. This is one of many reviews that sound and look the same as others who also used her previously. We, unfortunately, did not read the reviews. I have all receipts, text, emails to back up every word I said.
