About us
The Source Tree Service is a family owned tree care company based out of Valemount BC. The operation started in 2008 when owner Brendan Taylor operated as a sole proprietor. With growth and expansion throughout the past 7 years The Source Tree Service is proud to announce the official incorporation of the company.
Services are offered throughout the Robson Valley encompassing Valemount, Dunster, Mcbride and surrounding. Jasper, Hinton and surrounding areas are visited on a regular basis throughout the year. We are currently working on expanding in the Clearwater and surrounding area. In 2014 in conjunction with the Simpcw First Nations, a BC Hydro distribution vegetation contract was completed on the Chu Chua Reserve located near Barriere B.C. This project was two and a half months in length.
The tree business has been an exciting journey. We have developed solid clientele and grown many working relationships through seasons of honest hard work. In 2015 The Source Tree Service became a pre-qualified vegetation contractor for B.C.Hydro. Given our geographic location this is a huge step for the company. Other ongoing working clientele include;

Services include;
Tree removal- limited space residential and commercial areas, industrial select to wide open tree falling for harvesting, lot and property clearing.
Tree pruning- various applications such as utility pruning and service clearance, prune to promote tree health and structure, provide clearance for structures, lights, buildings, removal of dead and diseased materials, hedging and shaping on all ornamental... show more trees and shrubs,
Tree support systems- older or structurally challenged trees requiring some extra help in adverse weather conditions, various cable, rope and hardware can used to assist the stability of the tree or certain parts of the tree and also reduce levels of risk.
Tree planting- from small pod size seedlings in industrial forestry setting to larger pot size trees and shrubs in residential and rural landscapes. We have access to a great selection of native and cultivated trees.
Boom truck services- Altec 60/70 forestry unit, dielectric and non destructive tested. Designed for pruning and conducting tree care activities around energize high voltage power. This unit is very versatile with a maximum working height of 75ft and great reach out the side and back of the truck. Not only does can this unit be used for tree trimming and wood chip hauling but also for work on steep metal roofs and tough to reach areas. This unit has been used for chimney sweeping, gutter cleaning and repairs, street light maintenance and sign maintenance. This unit is awesome.
Tree risk assessments- Industrial settings, urban parks and forests, residential properties, school areas can require a hazard risk assessment on the surrounding trees. Elements such as target rating or value, size of defective tree or tree part, and probability of failure are factored when completing risk assessments. show more
